Further information

In the former GDR the original Triola was produced since the 1960s. It was developed as a children’s instrument and is buildt in the current rectangular shape since 1988. Seydel produces the Triola since 1993 – even today reed tuning and assembly of the instruments is hand-work.
In the GDR the Triola was very popular and wide-spread in kindergardens where it was used for early musical education.
Today there is a revival of the Triola especially in England, where the Triola is a successful part of musical lessons at school.

Please note: The international ‘B’ is mentioned as an ‘H’ in german musical literature. The international ‘bB’ is refered to as ‘B’!

Maintenance tips:
Please prevent your kid from bringing in food-drink-leftovers into the instrument. Let the instrument dry out properly after usage. Explain to your kid that the mouthpiece is only covered/held with the lips instead of using the teeth. Please do not open the instrument, because air-loss and bad tone-response could occur after re-assembly!

Highly recommended Beautiful instrument. My son – and me – love it! Nice sound, wonderful pitch, and easy to play melodies (even for my two year old).

Triola – Mouth Organ I have given a 5 star rating as this product was a real hit with my 4 year old little boy. He loves the vibrant key colours and finds it easy to play. A music sheet in English would have been good and I felt it was priced a little high. Its size makes it perfect for little hands so would recommend for children age 3+
